Contaminated Labware (Debris) Waste Disposal

Contaminate Labware is solid debris waste that is contaminated with hazardous chemicals. Examples include
residual chemical contamination on vials, pipettes, paper towels, wipes, etc. When using the contaminated
labware description, you must also describe the contaminants. Below is an example of how to describe
and submit contaminated labware waste into Chematix.

Contaminated labware should NOT include:

• Containers/vials with free liquids
• Sharps such as needles and razor blades
• Completely empty containers/vials with no appreciable chemical residue
