SOM Reimbursement Program

Support for Youth Safety Initiatives at UMN

The University of Minnesota is committed to creating safe, welcoming spaces for youth and families. To support this mission, the Safety of Minors (SOM) department is launching a reimbursement program for university programs and events primarily serving minors.

Up to $500 in funding is available per program to support youth safety initiatives — such as first aid training, mental health workshops, or enhanced safety equipment. This can fully fund a safety initiative or fund part of a larger safety project.
