11.3 Roles and Responsibilities
The University of Minnesota’s Chemical Hygiene Officer (CHO) or designate is responsible for writing and updating this Program. The department of Health, Safety, and Risk Management (HSRM) will provide support to all research groups or fabrication shops to fulfill the requirements detailed in the WCPP. This includes exposure monitoring, results reporting, resource development, environmental control consultation, training, regulated area determination, inspections, and record keeping. PIs, instructors, and supervisors are responsible for implementing this Program and for approving and enforcing any Exposure Control Plans outlined in the Methylene Chloride Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) applicable to their work area.
