The American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH) recommends that employees wear better quality masks to reduce the likelihood of transmitting and contracting COVID-19. This program is designed to help you choose a high-quality mask and provide instructions on its use and care to minimize transmission of respiratory diseases. This program is available for all faculty, staff, and students within the University Community.
If you want help choosing a high quality mask, you can learn more about the masks recommended by HSRM and available through U Market in the table below. If you would like to set up an in-person appointment with Health, Safety, and Risk Management's (HSRM) Mask Support Program using the following procedure:
Make an appointment or attend open hours according to your local program (see below)
Complete the Voluntary Use Respiratory Protection Training prior to arrival at your appointment.
At your appointment, you will receive a form identifying the chosen mask type and instructions for proper fit, use, and care. Provide the form to your department contact who should order this product for you like any other work/office supply.
